Kelly Engineering has a great opportunity with a leading company in Farmington CT
Effectively support development and implementation of documentation, procedures, systems, programs, tools, and studies for the purpose of driving improvements and sustaining goals with regard to safety, quality, & cost for products provided to customers of the company. This position will be heavily engaged in legacy product lines and may interact with new product lines as required.
Bachelor degree in Engineering (BSME)
4-6 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Engineering. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and its components (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc.)
Ability to read blue prints and analyze GDT requirements
Familiar with principles of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly.
Working knowledge of ISO quality standards and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in a production environment
Working knowledge and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in production environments (MINI Tab)
CAD Literate. Capable of using CAD for creating specifications for fixture/assembly aids, gauges and machine designs, as well as floor plans
Proficient in creating and maintaining visual work instructions
Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
Detail & Task driven work ethic
Experience with six-sigma or other methods to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control process capability
Ability to execute process technology transfers for developing multi-site / multi-supplier manufacturing capabilities
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
