Job Description

Kelly Services is currently looking for a Recruiter to work on site for a non-profit human service agency located in Chicago, Illinois.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain thorough understanding and knowledge of current hiring practices, recruitment strategies and staffing industry trends

  • Analyze company recruiting needs, developing and implementing a targeted recruiting strategy using input from hiring mangers, HR Business Partners and allied organizations.

  • Manage up to 30 open postings at any given time

  • Work with managers to develop job specific competencies to select candidates who will thrive at the agency

  • Develop job advertising and posting materials

  • Source and attracts candidates by using databases, social media, cold calling and networking

  • Facilitate the selection process including: screening and assessing candidates, administering evaluations, conducting interviews and reference checks, and making hiring decisions

  • Deliver company orientation/onboarding programs, pre-hiring process including offer letter, paperwork, scheduling, and coordination with HR team

  • Provides analytical recruiting reports and metrics to hiring managers and executives

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience recruiting and staffing

  • Demonstrated experience in screening, hiring, orienting, training, assigning, and managing employees. Must also be able to market candidates to hiring managers and negotiate salary

rates.

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of individuals is essential

  • Good communication (both verbal and written), negotiation, interpersonal and decision making skills are required. Individual must be able to function independently/autonomously yet know

when to get management involved.

  • Can handle change, learning new processes, and working without tons of structure as they are going through revamping their recruitment policies & life cycle

  • Comfortable cold calling potential candidates and an absolutely genuine joy for recruiting

  • Strong leadership, problem solving and decision making skills required

  • Must have proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
