Location : Chattanooga, TN
Duration : 4 months Summary
This position is responsible for the installation, administration, support and maintenance of telecommunications equipment and services. This position is the primary contact with service vendor(s) and serves as level 2 support for issues associated with the product/service they support. Products include but are not limited to PBX systems, voicemail systems, call recording systems, cellular products and other telephony systems.
Associates degree in a computer-science related field or equivalent and demonstrable training and experience
Five (5) or more years' experience as a full-time telephony professional
Three (3) or more years' experience as a system administrator in one or more telephony systems
Excellent customer service skills
Must be knowledgeable of telephony technology
Knowledge of current trends in telecommunications and network engineering is needed
Logical decision making skills are required to quickly analyze service alternatives when equipment and/or networks are unavailable.
Good communications skills are required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Changes in call routing and automatic call distribution software
Uploading call detail records and maintaining cost center information on extensions
Technical, operational and administrative support for products and services supported
Support in the preparation of disaster recovery plans for all products and services supported
Updating and closing service desk tickets in a timely manner
Completing time reporting accurately and on time
Incumbent must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
