Our client, a leader in the Apparel industry, is currently seeking a Global Procurement Associate I for a 12+ month temporary position with the opportunity for an extension. The position is located in Beaverton, OR.

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Global Procurement Associate I
Our client is looking for an impact-driven Procurement Associate who will join the Global Procurement team. You be part of our Global Procurement SEC (Sourcing Execution Center) team and gain exposure to all elements of our organization – materials & packaging, retail, facilities, supply chain, marketing, technology, services and so on. You will partner with the Strategic Sourcing managers to drive and enable projects, providing impact in each of these areas.
As part of the SEC team, you will gain an understanding of our category teams, and building a broad experience. You will be trained in and deploy our 7 step sourcing process, be involved in supporting sourcing strategy, sourcing execution, and supplier relationship management. You will work with stakeholders and the sourcing team using Procurement skills that includes: spend analysis, requirements planning, risk management, market analysis, competitive bidding (RFx), supplier negotiations, supplier selection, contracting, supplier management, cost savings methodology, performance reporting, and proficiency with sourcing tools.
You will tackle challenging hands-on work, gain exposure to diverse stakeholders, and share in the success of the projects assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – MBA preferred
Up to 2 years’ work experience & analytical background (Finance, Engineering, Sciences, etc.) preferred
Strong Excel skills
Evidence of entrepreneurial spirit, leadership positions, and ambition
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Business coursework experience preferred
Project management abilities/experience
Ability to deal with ambiguity, creative problem solver & want to get their “hands dirty”
Able to think on their feet and articular problems well
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have):
Previous experience or coursework focused on procurement, operations, supply chain, or finance
Track-record of demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit in fast-paced environment
General financial skills/knowledge
